Office of the Premiere, Employment Standards Amendment Act (Infectious Disease Emergencies), 2020

The Federal government continues to update the economic status and financial relief efforts daily. Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan

The government launched an online tool to help Canadians navigate the various financial benefits available during the pandemic. The government site is now live to help students, seniors and out-of-work Canadians find out which benefits they can access. The tool gives people information on federal, provincial and territorial benefits programs, and mortgage and student loan deferral programs. It will be updated as the government changes the programs or develops new ones.

Virtual Care Options Update (Tie Health)

We would like to make you aware of a free-service option for Virtual Physician Care, to both the employer and employee, with charges managed through provincial government healthcare. Note at this time this is only available in Ontario, BC and Alberta, though we expect further expansion in other provinces as governments continue to invest in virtual care services.
