Job type: Permanent & Full-Time
Job Status: Hybrid (in office 3 days per week after first 3 months)
Salary: $55-$70K based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY:
Benefits Associate provides support to the Advisor and client of Selectpath. In this position, you will be responsible for handling client and Advisor inquiries and requests related to group benefits products.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Long periods on a computer and navigation around different software programs
- Interacts with carriers, clients, employees, and advisors
- Diverse and complex work
- Perform high-concentration tasks
- Regular office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Overtime hours may be required
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and analyze plan pricing, design, administration
- Plan, organize and facilitate the preparation and completion of client renewals
- Provide recommendations to the advisor
- Negotiate pricing with benefit carrier as required
- Plan, organize and facilitate market studies, new plan implementations, plan amendments, carrier changes, and AOR’s
- Participate in finalist meetings as required
- Management of large client files
- Provide accurate and thorough answers to client requests and questions
- Communicate with carriers through client issues as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- University degree or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible work experience
- Minimum 3 years of benefits experience required
- Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation preferred, or willing to obtain
- Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred, or willing to obtain
- Ability to take initiative and a pro-active approach to work
- Advanced knowledge and application of MS suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Enthusiastic, respectful, high professional and uncompromised confidentiality
- Ability to organize, prioritize in a fast work environment
- Bilingualism would be considered an asset
Salary: $55,000-$70,000

Benefits Administrator
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Benefits Administrator provides administrative support to the Practice Advisor and clients of Selectpath. In this position, you will be responsible for handling client and Advisor inquiries and requests related to Group Benefits products

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, organize and facilitate the preparation and completion of client renewals

Complete client reporting with a high level of accuracy and detail

Support other team members to ensure client needs are met, this may include reporting, analysis, replying to client emails etc.

Liaise with carriers to help solve problems in an effective and efficient manner

Assist with administrative functions such as Advisor client correspondence, file maintenance, regular database updates and maintenance

Prepare various ad hoc reports

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

College Diploma: with a concentration in business is preferred

Minimum 3 years’ customer service experience

Working knowledge of Group Benefits is an asset

Advanced knowledge and application of MS suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Goldmine or other CRM (asset)

Group Retirement Financial Services Administrator
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Group Retirement Financial Services Administrator to join our Group Pension team. The Group Retirement Financial Services Administrator provides administrative support to the Advisor and clients of Selectpath. In this position, you will be responsible for handling client and Advisor inquiries and requests related to Group Retirement Financial Services. You are detail oriented, very well organized, and self-motivated. Previous experience in customer service is required. We offer a competitive compensation package and an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, growing company.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining filing systems (paper and electronic)
- Answer phones and emails prioritizing client requests (address changes, PAC changes etc.)
- Making arrangements for meetings, seminars and travel for the Advisor
- Investigate and solve administrative issues efficiently, accurately and completely
- Develop and maintain effective workflow processes
- Client account updates including address, name, and bank account information changes
- Preparation of client documents, forms, quotes, presentations, spreadsheets, statements and materials required for client meetings with accuracy and completeness
- Meeting with the Advisor to review client accounts and prepare for meetings
- Daily business processing and transactions
- Follow up on trades, transfers, and outstanding business processing to ensure it is completed accurately and efficiently
- Support the insurance underwriting process by liaising with underwriters, paramedical, and medical organizations
- Provide support to the pension and group retirement divisions
- Communicating with clients to ensure they are informed of their account status
- Track top funds and portfolios using the appropriate tools
- Ensure compliance standards and regulations are followed
- Member education presentation preparation
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- College diploma with a concentration in business administration, or equivalent experience
- LLQP, IFIC, GBA, RPA, CEBS designation an asset
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Working knowledge of investments is an asset
- Advanced knowledge and application of MS suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Goldmine or Customer-Relationship Management systems an asset
- Customer service oriented, possess a professional and approachable demeanor and has the ability to handle conflicting priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize in a fast work environment
